The leaves that fell in Autumn were golden and crisp underfoot. Now, in Winter, they are sodden and stuck to paths and pavements. Leaves mould in the gutters and choke the drains. The sky is grey all over, there are no breaks in it. The lack of definition gives the effect of a paper backdrop. The rain drizzles all day without you noticing that it is slowly drowning you.
So going out on days like these can sometimes feel like a chore but persevere and go out. I took this picture and call it Dying for Winter. Plants around the park are not exactly dying but they are shutting down, doing the bare minimum to survive. The picture represents my local park at this time of year. I know it will come back next year and I'll photograph it yet again in all its' glory!
